Good News for Tech Center in Proposed State Budget

In an encouraging sign for the coming fiscal year, the Governor’s proposed state budget includes increased funding for the California Community Colleges — some of which will directly benefit CCC Technology Center programs.
CCCApply by the Numbers

More than 2.1 million prospective students apply to California’s 116 community colleges each year through CCCApply.org. This year marks the 20th anniversary of CCCApply, the flagship product of the California Community Colleges Technology Center.
As the centerpiece of the Student Success Suite, CCCApply is our January focus for our continuing look at Tech Center products and services “by the numbers.”

In the presentation, Omer Usmani, Senior Security Analyst with the California Community Colleges Information Security Center, covered some common methods of social engineering attacks and what to do if you suspect you have been targeted.
Virtual Winter Workshops a Success

In January, the California Community Colleges Information Security Center and Accessibility Center presented the online 2021 Winter Workshops to the largest audience in the event’s history.
New User Support Information for CCC Students & Staff

Following the migration of California Community Colleges Technology Center online support sites to the Vanilla Forums platform, the Enabling Services team has published a new set of user guides and “how to” quick-start pages.
The new documentation, available in the College Support Services space in Confluence, is part of an effort to create information and materials that support our colleges and the success of our students, with guides aimed at existing support users as well as new, first-time users.
