Product Release Transition Plans for ES Adoption

March 11, 2021

planning conceptAt the beginning of the 2020-21 fiscal year, the Enabling Services (ES) Implementation Readiness team was reorganized and expanded to further facilitate internal readiness of product adoption, deployment, and support across the organization.

It is the responsibility of the Readiness team to ensure every product release is coordinated, planned, and prepared for ES (and Marketing) to assume responsibility in onboarding and supporting end users. This process is managed by use of a Product Release Transition Plan.

The plan includes a release summary, with deployment dates and potential impacts across interlocking products. From an adoption perspective, the plan outlines the core value(s) of the release and the benefits made available to the college or district when choosing to implement.

Of particular value, the transition plan identifies both ES “in scope” and “out of scope” items, which are referenced by the Readiness team to build and assign tasks necessary for deployment. This process ensures all teams across the organization have a solid understanding of what is expected for a successful end-user experience.

In an effort to make the transition process as transparent as possible, all plans — including those being developed, those being executed, and those previously completed — are available to view in the Enabling Services Confluence space, under the Product Release TRANSITION PLANS for ES Adoption link. Please note that login with Tech Center credentials is required to view the page.
